CLIENT – HALL & KAY
Project Summary
We have successfully completed a large-scale project which involved a 15-story office block constructed over an existing underground station.
DDC were responsible for designing the fire protection systems across all floors under the design management of Hall & Kay. The building itself was architecturally intricate from a mechanical perspective which enhanced the complexity of the sprinkler design and presented numerous challenges throughout the design process.
Over the project timeline the client needed to make various changes, this meant revisiting and coordinating floors with our fellow mechanical and electrical contractors to coordinate our services and provide clash free models on schedule.
As a team, we exercised a diligent design review process which ensured timely delivery of high standard design and drawing information to the client.
Each floor presented new challenges at different milestones on the project. With effective communication and employment of our combined years of sprinkler design experience, we efficiently worked as a team to reach design solutions with minimal disruption to design program.
