Project Summary:

DDC was engaged by a world leading Fire Protection Contractor to provide fire protection design services for their client’s department store.

The project included a full renovation of a large department store to an existing building to accommodate growth and global demand for the client's products. The end client engaged DDC to fast-track the design of a compliant and scalable Fire Protection Design solution.

DDC provided a Fire Protection solution using EN 12845 Sprinkler Rules. The service included the design, coordination and provision of construction drawings using modern 3D design software. The difficulty of this project was the lack of information available on the existing building and its services. DDC utilised the latest in Point Cloud Scanning technology to provide accurate information to design the new Fire Protection system within the existing building. The use of 3D software resulted in our client being provided with a high-quality visual representation of the fire protection system fully coordinated within their building specification.

DDC leveraged our team of experts to add additional bandwidth and oversight as project deliverables became more stringent and key milestones needed to be met to ensure adherence to a strict delivery time frame.
